A few common questions

Reporting a bug

Tell us your device and OS version (Settings → About), the version of Gesso (Settings → About Gesso), what you did, and what you expected to happen. A screenshot or screen recording helps. We do not need your account details to investigate; we will ask if we do.

Deleting your Gesso account

In Gesso, open the Profile tab → Account → Delete account. We hand you off to largesso.com/gesso/delete for a confirmation, then remove your data within seven days; backups roll out within thirty. If you want a copy of your data first, see "Exporting your Gesso data" below.

Exporting your Gesso data

In Gesso, open the Profile tab → Account → Export your data. We hand the file to your browser at largesso.com/gesso/your-data as a single JSON document with your taste profile, your liked and saved works, your dismissed works, and your viewing history. No email is involved; nothing is delivered later — the download starts as soon as the page opens.

Deleting your Studio account

In Studio, open Settings → Account → Delete account. We hand you off to largesso.com/studio/delete for a confirmation that asks you to type your account slug. We remove your data within seven days; backups roll out within thirty. Owned curations go offline.

Exporting your Studio data

In Studio, open Settings → Account → Request export. We open a new tab at largesso.com/studio/your-data and stream you a zip with your profile, published works, owned curations, commentary, workspace draft, and every image you have uploaded. The link works once and lasts five minutes.

I haven't received my early-access invite yet

We open in waves. If you signed up at /early-access you are on the list. We do not send a "you're on the list" confirmation — the next email you receive from us will be the invitation itself, with a TestFlight or Play link.

For artists and curators

Studio is the companion authoring tool for placing work into Gesso. Apply at /early-access and tell us about the work you want to place. Studio opens in waves alongside Gesso.

Privacy

Read the privacy policy for the details. The short version: your taste profile lives on your device and on our servers, in your account; it is not shared, sold, or used to train anything outside of Gesso's recommendations to you.
